Piano Playing – A Black-and-White World Full of Colour and Imagination
Some desires in life reflect inner motivations and a personal longing for musical expression. Learning to play the piano opens up the possibility to step beyond everyday routines and connect with creativity, expression, joy, and imagination.
Music creates a space that fosters both focus and liveliness. In piano playing, structure and freedom, precision and feeling come together in an experience that is enriching both artistically and personally.
Pedagogical Approach
For me, teaching means creating a reliable framework in which trust can grow. A supportive and respectful atmosphere forms the foundation of every lesson. The focus is on fostering joy in making music, curiosity, and a positive experience of personal progress.
Through many years of working with children, adolescents, and adults, I have learned to attentively recognize different learning paths and to guide each student individually. Every musical development unfolds at its own pace and gains stability through clarity, patience, and continuous guidance.
Technical fundamentals provide the foundation. At the same time, students develop a sense of tone, inner hearing, and stylistic understanding. This combination creates confidence at the instrument – and with it the freedom to express musical ideas authentically.
Methodical Approach
My methodical approach combines systematic technical development with artistic expression. Key elements include:
- Developing a natural, body-conscious approach to playing
- Conscious tone production and nuanced articulation
- Analytical understanding of musical form and structure
- Training in ear, rhythm, and musical imagination
- Incorporating improvisational elements to foster individual expressive abilities
The repertoire ranges from classical works to pop, film, and other modern music styles. Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual level and support both technical proficiency and musical expression.
Impact and Perspective
Engaging in music, especially piano playing, strengthens concentration, expressive ability, and self-confidence. I guide this process attentively, so that the experience of each student’s own sound, growth through challenges, and the joy of achievement shape the learning journey.
I structure my piano lessons in a way that engagement and ease harmoniously complement each other. On this foundation a personal musical voice gradually unfolds—nurtured by trust, joy, and artistic curiosity.
Language
I teach in English, German, Hungarian, and Serbian. Music serves as the shared space of resonance across all languages.
Development and Connection
In my teaching, a space emerges where sound takes shape and development is given time. Joy in making music, trust in one’s own abilities, and attentive awareness form the foundation of my work.
Musical development reveals itself in the sound and in the silence between the notes. This is where an awareness grows and expression deepens. Within this approach, I guide each learning journey – attentively, methodically, and with artistic conviction. Collaborative work allows every musical voice to find its own form, grounded in the joy of playing and a growing inner confidence.
